Hello, and welcome to Cat Sitter Corner! 🐾

I'm a lifelong cat lover and a dedicated cat sitter based on the south side of Glasgow. For over 10 years I've looked after cats of all ages and personalities, from shy kittens who need gentle reassurance to grumpy senior cats who prefer their own space. Along the way I've picked up plenty of tips, and a lot of stories, so I decided it was time to share them.

What you'll find here

Cat Sitter Corner is a place for practical, honest cat care advice, whether you're planning a holiday, wondering what to expect from a cat sitter or simply love cats. You can expect posts on things like:

  • How to prepare your cat and your home for a cat sitter

  • What happens at a Meet & Greet

  • Cat sitter vs cattery: which is better for your cat?

  • Keeping cats happy and relaxed while you're away

  • Caring for senior cats and cats who need medication

  • The occasional story from my visits, especially about cats who treat the furniture like a parkour course 😹

A little about Paws & Purrs Glasgow

Paws & Purrs Glasgow offers daily drop-in cat sitting visits across the southside of Glasgow, so your cat can stay relaxed in their own home. Visits are 30 or 45 minutes and include fresh food and water, litter tray cleaning, playtime, cuddles and oral medication, all tailored to your cat's routine and personality. You'll get updates and photos after every visit, so you can enjoy your time away knowing they're doing just fine.

I cover Shawlands, Giffnock, Newton Mearns, Rutherglen, Cambuslang and nearby areas, and new customers get a free Meet & Greet before their first booking. Bookings are made online through the Time To Pet app, and you can see all the areas I cover here:

Your questions welcome

If there's a cat care question you'd love answered, or a topic you'd like me to cover, let me know and it might become a future post.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you find Cat Sitter Corner useful. Grab a cuddle from your cat (if they allow it) and have a read around. 💛
